100% Carbon Free Energy Solutions: Preferences, Challenges, and Pathways Forward

Until recently, corporate customers with carbon emission reduction goals have accounted for carbon-free energy (CFE) usage on an annual basis. This is changing as several corporate customers seek to match their purchase of CFE more closely with their hourly energy use. As new, 24/7 CFE purchasing goals are announced, how are electric companies working with these customers to provide solutions? Which aspects of CFE supply influence customer procurement strategies and the percent of hours matched over time? How might energy storage and demand side solutions be included in these offerings? What data are needed to make this work? What are the regulatory considerations?
