Advanced Nuclear

Nuclear energy produces carbon-free generation at scale. Advanced nuclear is a new kind of reactor that has the potential to offer additional safety features, decreased waste production, more efficient use of fuel resources, and reduced material inputs.

These new reactor designs offer greater fuel efficiency and often take advantage of passive safety measures to reduce the risk of accidents. A few of them also incorporate flexible designs that reduce construction costs and allow them to be used for more versatile purposes. Despite these promises, these first-of-its-kind reactors still need to be tested and face challenges such as substantial capital costs.
